Not everyone is familiar with the name of Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef but this town, with its sweet scent of buttery biscuits, is the home of the famous Galette Saint-Michel! Nestled between nature and ocean, the town has much more to offer, however!

Savour biscuits and shellfish

When you stay at our Le Ranch campsite, you will be a stone’s throw from Saint Michel-Chef-Chef, a heavenly spot for foodies and fishers. This seaside town promises to leave you with some lovely holiday memories.

For families, the vast Tharon beach is perfectly equipped with toilets and showers, a sailing club, bar, snack bar, and so on. The low tide periods are ideal for shore fishing and admiring the pretty fishing huts on stilts! Enjoy a seafood platter of winkles, cockles shrimps, mussels and a host of other fish!

Looking for other specialities? Enjoy the famous Saint-Michel biscuits and other sweet bites with a nice cup of coffee. If you want to learn more about the history of biscuit-making, visit the Atelier Saint-Michel workshop and St-Michel Café.

Enjoyable nature walks

On holiday at the Le Ranch campsite in the Loire-Atlantique? Make the most of this chance to recharge your batteries in relaxing, unspoilt natural surroundings. And Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef fits perfectly into this setting.

Les Terres Rouges, for example, are a series of beautiful coastal paths which you can explore as you observe the local protected flora and fauna, including sea holly, blue tits, fringed pink, black-headed gulls, and Western green lizards.

Finally, for a picnic in the shade, head to Le Bois du Roy woods, which will please visitors big and small with its well-equipped playgrounds and discovery trails.
